This page sets out how WeKnowBath researches, checks and stands behind what it publishes. It's the standard we hold ourselves to, and the one you can hold us to.
How we research and check
- Primary sources first. Where we can, prices, times and opening details come from the official source (the operator, the attraction, the council), and we say when we've done that.
- We date everything. Every price and fact carries the month we checked it, so its freshness is visible.
- We flag what we can't confirm. If a figure can't be verified, we say so or leave it out. We don't guess and present it as fact.
- We visit and pay our own way. We don't accept free stays or meals in exchange for coverage.
Independence
WeKnowBath is published by the Tick Taxi group, which runs airport transfers. That relationship never buys favourable coverage. We lead with the cheapest sensible option (often the bus or train), name competitors on equal terms, and label anything connected to our owner. The full detail is on our how we make money page.
Fairness to the places we cover
We write honestly, including criticism where it's warranted, but we aim to be fair, not gratuitous. We describe what a place is genuinely like, note who it suits and who it doesn't, and let readers decide.
Corrections
We fix errors in the open and refresh the page's checked date. If you spot something wrong or out of date, tell us via our corrections page, and we'll put it right.
